How long should I be patient to let “time do its thing” in terms of my parents understanding that my way of life is not how they pictured it?
Waiting is rarely an efficienit way to fix something. It’s time to set some boundaries & tell them that if they want a close relationship with you, you need them to respect your different goals. Downplay the conflict & never rise to the temptation to bark — it just gives them “proof” to judge you on. Try humor instead.
