Sometimes the problem is obvious: what’s not obvious is that we need to ask someone, a friend or a professional, for help. Some problems we just can’t change through hoping and willpower.
It’s abusive if you lash out, whether it’s verbally or physically. Kids, even teenagers, are wrong a lot and even then it’s up to you to stay focused & constructive. When it’s you that’s wrong, this is a habit (like quitting smoking) that most people simply can’t change through willpower. Get some advice from a counselor or therapist. Your daughters will make self-destructive choices if this continues. Call the United Way at 800-231-4377 ——– Want daily inspiration? Subscribe! And try my other blog, Weird Boston Events. |
