Hate comes from shame. We hate most in others what we dislike in ourselves. Many people have combative friends & family and simply no other way to behave. Although it is possible to befriend & help & encourage people with vicious drama, it may backfire & hurt you a lot. These days I prefer to help people who are good back to me.
