Confidence comes in stages. Get your child to join a few hobby clubs, switch around good kids he or she can learn from. It’s impossible to be tough sometimes and be a confidant too. Find an uncle or your adult friend your kid can confide in. When you have to be tough, explain why it’s in his or her best interest and do it patiently . Kids don’t have your insight yet.
