Wheel Questions is an outdoor community art project that was sponsored by HP, Intel, and Best Buy in 2009. It tours heavily trafficked public squares and festivals for six months a year. Visitors ask a question about life on a colored card and are drawn to a website to find a handwritten answer. In 2009, Wheel Questions toured Harvard Square, Davis Square, and 10 festivals over 4 months. It was seen by over 500,000 people, and got 3 million impressions from articles in The Boston Globe, The Boston Globe (again!), The Boston Phoenix, Boston Magazine, and many others.
In 2010, your Chamber of Commerce can sponsor Wheel Questions to include your urban square, anywhere in the United States. Unlike traditional art installations, because it’s interactive, it not only brightens your area but stops busy people who are passing through and gives them an extra reason to return. Wheel Questions will make a huge media splash by setting the world record for answering questions. It’s a unique concept that creates a buzz and generates good will, for your entire area, and for individual businesses thatplace an advertisement on the Wheel, its handouts, or the website as well.
A sponsorship of Wheel Questions has many benefits. Over six months:
