See a model of Wheel Questions at an Airport

Wheel Questions is a community art project that tours heavily trafficked public squares and festivals for six months a year. Visitors ask a question about life on a colored card and are drawn to a website to find a handwritten answer. In 2009, Wheel Questions toured Harvard Square and 10 festivals over 4 months. It was seen by over 500,000 people, and got 3 million impressions from articles in The Boston Globe, The Boston Globe (again!), The Boston Phoenix, Boston Magazine, and many others.

Wheel Questions is ideally suited for an airport location. Travelers have free time before their flight and are looking for something to do. Wheel Questions engages and inspires people much more powerfully than static glossy advertisements on a wall. It gets people to stop, pay attention to your message, and then it sends them to the website where your message is also displayed.

In 2010, you can sponsor one of several Wheel Questions installations, touring anywhere in the United States. As an art project, cities and festivals readily give it free space in the center of their communities. Wheel Questions 2010 will make a huge media splash by setting the world record for answering questions. It’s a unique way to get attention, build good will, and interact with your target market, at a fraction of a penny per impression.

A sponsorship of Wheel Questions has many benefits. The below numbers have been tested for an outdoor installation in an urban square. However, an airport installation is both busier than an urban square, and well lit at night. We predict participation and impressions far surpassing the below numbers:

  • 5,000,000 will read the press, with your “sponsored by” message.
  • 1,000,000 will see the installation in person, with your logo.
  • 200,000 will stop to read the cards. Info cards have your message.
  • 20,000 will write a question on a card.
  • All are drawn to the website for answers and see your message.
  • Fraction of a penny per impression.
  • Our rep can engage visitors and hand out samples.
  • Free access to major festivals as an art project.
  • Non-profit sponsorships build good will.

Depending on the airport and the messaging, there may be a huge response that goes well beyond Wheel Questions’ past track record. Call for details about pricing, starting with the Sponsor info & rate sheet for outdoor urban spaces.
